For the first time at La Cayolle, on the 21st June, C Barré, Les Amis des Petits Violons des Calanques, l’école des Calanques, the Roy d’Espagne socio-cultural centre and other local associations are celebrating the Fête de la Musique, an opportunity to showcase the area’s rich musical heritage.
Programme :
L’Arbre d’Ébène: 15 jazz clarinettists, with a team of dynamic seniors from Roy d’Espagne and the surrounding area.
Cité de la Musique: 15 classical musicians, led by Joël Chouquet, teacher with the Petits Violons des Calanques.
Les Petits Violons des Calanques.
Two gamelan concerts: a concert by children from the school and a Balinese concert by professionals.
The Open Mic group: 10 young local rappers.
The Massilia Capoeira association.
There will also be capoeira workshops and musical storytelling.
After 6.30pm: The party continues
– At the Théâtre du Centaure, you can listen to the polyphonic songs of the Chœur du Centaure and the Indian music of Anwar Khan with his singing, tabla and harmonium,
– At the Roy d’Espagne shopping centre, a guinguette evening will give families the chance to enjoy a dance party with lively music and DJs to entertain young and old (proposed by the Ciq du Roy d’Espagne).
