Convinced that creative music should be shared, the GMEM mobilises its skills and experience to develop projects that place the public and participants at the heart of artistic creation. Sonord is an artistic project for the region, to be carried out between 2020 and 2023, in co-production with the Nord-AP-HM hospital in the 15th arrondissement of Marseille. At the origin of the project, there were bubbles! Musical bubbles to get inside the hospital, to slip into its corridors, to listen to its sounds and stories, to meet its inhabitants, to provoke exchanges. Through listening, sound recording, dialogue, collecting testimonies from hospital staff and recording machines, a sound corpus of hospital sounds was gradually created. Sonord is initially an invitation to wander through the corridors of La Friche to discover three singular creations by Raphaële Dupire, Pierre Pulisciano and Sébastien Béranger based on the sound materials accumulated throughout the project. Then, at the end of this journey leading to the GMEM Module: a collective artistic creation bringing together the musicians of Sonord.
