The 14th arrondissement has been abuzz with musical activity since October, with the creation of Club Orchestre, a joint project of ZEF and Ensemble C Barré, and the launch of a brand-new cycle by the Busserine school’s masterclass, choir and orchestra.
These four groups will come together for their first concert at ZEF. They’ll be giving their voices to the sound of mandolins, percussion and cellos in new works specially commissioned for them from young composers Amine Soufari and Mehdi Telhaoui.
Both were inspired by the theme of exile to conceive their music, for which they wrote their own texts, entrusted to the choir and the schoolchildren’s choir, with the exception of one specially written by Laetitia Sadak for the occasion.
The concert will be peppered with musical nuggets concocted throughout the year by each group of musicians.
